I am Wendy Smith, Doctor of Nursing Practice and primary provider at Restore Joint Health. A wife and proud mom to two beautiful boys. I have been a nurse for over 20 years with a passion for patient care that drove me to become a Doctor of Nursing, specializing in adult and gerontological primary care.

Previously, I provided expert wound care management, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic wounds and other complex skin conditions. One of my primary focuses in this was patient assessment, where I performed comprehensive patient exams and diagnostics, including wound measurements, tissue viability and infection risk evaluations in order to develop individualized treatment plans and perform advanced interventions.

I also specialize in medical aesthetics and practiced for years in Council Bluffs where I blended science, artistry, and individualized care to help clients look and feel their best. I am thrilled to be on the team at Restore Joint Health, where I can continue delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care with a focus on helping patients achieve long-term wellness. Whether in primary care, aesthetics, or restoring joint health, my approach is always rooted in compassion, education, and a deep respect for each person’s journey.
